When I realized Noguchi Museum was a 10 minute walk from my apartment, I decided to head over on my lunch break. In the middle of the industrial no-man's land of Astoria is a deceptively spacious gallery exhibiting decades of Isamu Noguchi's work. The second floor was being renovated so I only paid $5.00 and had the whole museum to myself. The tranquility of the stone sculptures and courtyard garden covered in snow created an undeniably unique experience.
Fashion students at the Pratt Institute visited the museum last fall and developed the following garments in response to something they found.
