I've been following JR's work for the past few years, specifically his Inside Out Project that I was able to be apart of in Miami last year, so I was immediately excited when a friend sent me a link with information on his next project to debut - NYC Ballet Art Series. JR used 80 flexible ballet dancers and crumpled white dancers to create an enormous eye that was photographed from above, printed on vinyl, and installed on the lobby floor of the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center. The multiple perspective, larger than life installation allowed the viewers to become apart of the art work by walking over the bodies or laying down next to figures in the photograph.

My work has no borders. Most of the time it doesn’t even belong to me anymore.
